Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://creatorxone.gitbook.io/creatorxone/chatting-tools/scripts.md). # Chatting scripts **Audience:** Chatters and managers who work in an OnlyFans or Fansly session. **Chatting scripts** are named messages you keep in the session composer. Open the library, pick a script, confirm what will go out, then **Send** into the open chat. In a live chat you can also type `/` in the message box to search the same library. They are **not** sent automatically. The chatter always confirms and sends. Same tool on OnlyFans and Fansly. Fansly adds a permission check when you manage scripts, and can apply price plus an optional subscription tier as platform media permissions on send. ## Where they live 1. [Open a desktop session](/creatorxone/publish-your-docs/login-to-creator-profile.md) and go to a fan chat. 2. In the chat composer, click **Chatting scripts**. 3. On Fansly the control is a book icon; the title is **Chatting scripts**. 4. The modal **Chatting Scripts** opens. You use this from the session window, not from the marketing site and not from dashboard **Fans**. ## Slash search (`/`) A faster path to the same library, from the message box. The **Chatting scripts** book and **Chatting Scripts** modal stay as they are. 1. In a live OnlyFans or Fansly chat (desktop session), click the message box. 2. Type `/`. A compact list of chatting scripts opens. 3. Type more to filter by name, content, or category. 4. Use the arrow keys to move. Press **Enter** or **Tab** to insert the script into the same composer. If the script includes `{name}`, CreatorXOne replaces it with that fan’s name. 5. Press **Esc** or click outside the list to close it without inserting. Slash search does **not** open when `/` is part of a link (`https://`) or in the middle of a word (`foo/bar`). Type `/` at the start of the box, or after a space. After insert, review the message and **Send**. Slash does not send on its own, does not run a mass campaign (see **Mass to online from chat**), and does not create a script from the chat. ## Mass to online from chat **OnlyFans only.** From the chat composer in a CreatorXOne desktop session, open a mass message to the fans who are online right now, with your draft copied in. Nothing sends until you confirm. This is not a dashboard campaign builder, not auto-send, and not slash `/` (which inserts into one chat). The control is a small bullhorn icon next to **Chatting scripts** in the OnlyFans chat composer. Hover it to see its title, **Mass to online fans (Cxone)**. The icon only appears if your role has **Send Mass messages** ([Roles and permissions](/creatorxone/user-access-control.md)). 1. Open a [desktop session](/creatorxone/publish-your-docs/login-to-creator-profile.md) and an OnlyFans fan chat. 2. Optionally type a draft in the composer. 3. Click the bullhorn icon. 4. **Mass Message to Online Fans** opens with your draft copied in. 5. Nothing sends until you click **Send to Online Fans**. **Cancel** or **Escape** stops a run in progress. If nobody is online, you see **No online fans found at this moment.** and nothing is sent. Only active subscribers who are online at that moment get the message. Offline fans are skipped. **Skip other creators** (on by default) leaves out online subscribers who are creators themselves. ### Unsend unread After a send, **Unsend unread** appears in the same dialog. It removes the copies that fans haven't opened yet. * Copies a fan has already opened stay. The dialog footer says: **Online fans only. Unsend retracts unread copies; opened or purchased messages stay.** * It works on the latest mass-to-online send for that creator in this desktop app. A new send replaces the previous one. * When it finishes, the dialog shows how many copies were unsent, kept because they were opened, already gone, or failed. Copies that failed stay available, so you can click **Unsend unread** again. ### Turn the icon on or off **Profile → Account settings → Chat add-ons → Show mass-to-online from chat**. It's on by default. Refresh the chat page after you change it, the same as other chat add-ons. For the first 7 days after you first see the icon, a short tip may appear: *New: mass message online fans from this chat. Copies your draft — nothing sends until you confirm. Disable anytime in Profile → Chat add-ons.* ## Categories Scripts sit in **category tabs** across the top of **Chatting Scripts**. * Switch tabs to see scripts in that category. * Create, rename, or delete a category from the tab controls. * **+ Add Category** creates a new category. * Each category lists its scripts and paginates when the list is long. ## Named scripts Each script has a **name** and a **body**. On the list you can: * Filter scripts (including **Price**). * See **✓ Used** on a script that was already sent to **this** fan. **✓ Used** is per fan. The same script can show as unused in another chat. ## Create or edit a script 1. In **Chatting Scripts**, click **+ Create New Script**. 2. Set the name and body. 3. Optional: set **Price ($)**, attach vault media, then save. On a script that is **not global**: * **Edit**, **archive**, and **delete** are available. * **Edit** only works if the script is unused and not global. Global scripts stay as they are — pick them and send; do not edit them. ### Fansly permissions On Fansly, managing scripts (create, edit, archive, delete, categories) needs the matching **Messages** / chatting-scripts permission on that role — typically **Access to chatting scripts** plus **Manage Chatting Scripts** (and **Delete Chatting Scripts** to delete). Sending a script still needs access to **Messages**. On OnlyFans, chatters with **Access to chatting scripts** use the same composer button. Role labels: [Roles and permissions](/creatorxone/user-access-control.md). ## Attach vault media When you create or edit a script you can pick a vault **album** and the **media** to attach. * Preview the selection in the script form. * When you confirm and **Send**, that media goes out with the script. Markers on vault thumbnails (already sent / purchased) are a different tool: [Vault flags](/creatorxone/chatting-tools/vault-flags.md). ## Price and PPV **Price ($)** is a field on create and edit. If **Price ($)** is greater than $0, CreatorXOne enforces a **$3.00 minimum**. The confirm dialog shows **Price** before **Send**, so you see the amount with the script body. **OnlyFans vs Fansly** | | OnlyFans | Fansly | | --------------------------------------------- | -------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Price ($)** on the script | Yes | Yes | | Confirm shows **Price** before **Send** | Yes | Yes | | Subscription tier / media permissions on send | No | Yes — price, plus an optional subscription tier, can be applied as the platform’s media permissions when the media is sent. OnlyFans does not use that Fansly tier dialog. | ## Send a script To insert a script without opening the library, type `/` in the message box (see **Slash search (`/`)**). The steps below are the library / confirm flow. 1. Open the fan chat in the session. 2. Click **Chatting scripts** and pick a category tab if needed. 3. Click the script. 4. Confirm the content. Optional: **Translate**. 5. Check **Price** if the script has one. 6. Click **Send**. The text (and any attached vault media) goes into **this** chat. Nothing is queued or sent on its own. If you close the confirm dialog, the chat does not change. ## If something looks wrong | Symptom | What to try | | ------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | No **Chatting scripts** button | Confirm you are in a CreatorXOne desktop session with a fan chat open, not a raw browser tab. Refresh the session. | | `/` does not list scripts | Click the message box and type `/` at the start, or after a space. Links (`https://`) and mid-word paths (`foo/bar`) do not open the list. Confirm you are in a CreatorXOne desktop session with a fan chat open. | | Slash put text in the box but nothing sent | Slash only inserts. Review the composer, then **Send**. It does not send automatically. | | Mass-to-online icon missing | Confirm you are in a CreatorXOne desktop session with an OnlyFans fan chat open. Turn on **Show mass-to-online from chat** under **Chat add-ons**, then refresh the chat. Your role needs **Send Mass messages**. | | **No online fans found at this moment.** | Only active subscribers who are online right now are included. Try again later. | | Clicked the bullhorn but nothing sent | The dialog only copies your draft. Click **Send to Online Fans** in **Mass Message to Online Fans**. Nothing auto-sends. | | Want to take back a mass-to-online send | Click **Unsend unread** in the same dialog. Only copies fans haven't opened are removed. | | Button missing on Fansly | Check the role has **Access to chatting scripts**. Ask a manager to grant it. | | Cannot create or edit on Fansly | You can send, but manage needs **Manage Chatting Scripts** (and **Delete Chatting Scripts** to delete). | | **Edit** is missing or blocked | The script is **global**, or it has already been used. Create a new script instead. | | **✓ Used** on a script you did not expect | It was already sent to **this** fan. Open another chat to confirm the mark is per fan. | | Price or media did not go out | On confirm, check **Price** and the media preview before **Send**. On Fansly, complete the tier / permissions step if it appears. | | Vault attach looks empty | Open **Vault** in the chat and confirm the album has media.
